Well, since you already know I'm not the budgeting type, I say helll no you wouldn't want to live in a crappy place just because it's cheap! You're only going to live once, you should enjoy it to the fullest.

Are we assuming we all have options? Hope I'm not defined by Overland...though I do have a sudden urge to put the couch on the front porch and to put out garden cutouts of an old lady bending over.

If by 'sucked' you mean it takes 2 hours to go to the nearest mall, but I have an AWESOME mountain view and beautiful lake right out my back door... Then yes. I'd totally live way out in the boonies. But I guess that wouldn't constitute as "sucks" just one girl's version of awesome. Awesome like living in London or NYC but different location.
However. Living in the town where I currently live... Where everything is closed by 10pm- by 6pm on Sunday nights. Where status is defined by what church you go to and how big your pick up is... Where teachers lose their jobs for encouraging students to read books that are on a banned list... No. I wouldn't want to live here if I could telecommute. I'd move to London and telecommute to work from there.
